Ignoring the quest that it needs to be retreieved in, is there any use
for the pot when you have attributes that are approaching 100? As a
mid-high level character I've managed to max strength, agility,
intelligence and endurance. My tests show that all the bittercup does is
reduce by lowest attribute (personallity). Is there any gain once 100
has been reached? I was hoping it would boost past that limit.

When you have trained a skill to near 100, and read one of the
skill-books, it will sometimes raise the particular skill, even if it
means, that it will exceed 100

Bittercup raises a skill and lowers another. Maybe the raise
in this instance is not influenced by the max limit either

It would appear that the raise is influenced by the max limit although I
was hoping that it would not be. As I said in this case it is decreasing
one attribute but not giving the increase because they are already maxed.

the bittter cup should be left untasted by you. later on you may be asked to

No need to damage an attribute - you can have a permanent enhance attribute
spell made.
