My imperial crusader sure cannot carry much. It took me three long trips
back to town just to carry the items from one single cave.

Is there something that makes encumbrance an easier issue?

Thanks,

Mark

There's a mod in Morrowind Summit (www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind) that reduces
the weight of misc. items like soulgems and silver spoon, knife, etc.

Also in caves you can usually find a lot of alcohols... most of them give a
long lasting strength boosting effect. A self-made potion of strength also
works quite well.

There's also Wakim's (I hope I get it spelled correctly) Game Improvement
mod, which changes a lot of things - and one of them is that stat boosting
spells last much longer so they are actually useful.

The cheat "player -> additem iron_pauldron_left 5000000000"
leaves you weightless, no matter how much junk you carry
around, even after you dump the pauldrons.

Pile everything into one dead body when you have collected everything and
made sure you have visited all of the place collect all gear from said body
then recall back to your base, If you are smart you will appear next to a
convenient dead body where you can unload down to your carrying weight or
pick up sujamas from same and drop your own gear off so you don't sell it by
mistake.

I know I've mentioned this a few times before, but I just love my
approach to the whole weight thing.

I load up with Saltrice (~100 or so) which weighs a total of about ten
pounds normally.

I then fire up the editor changing the weight of Saltrice to 100 units
of weight each.

Once back in the game my stash of Saltrice is rated at 100 units each,
so each time I munch on one I lose 100 units of encumbrance.

I can load up on all kinds of armor, carry a ton of treasure, and then
eat a few Saltrice to free up my capacity. (Much like Feather)

Once I've sold a few things I buy/find some more saltrice just to keep
my numbers in the black.

It would be really hard for me to revert back to straight XBOX for
this reason alone.

The realisation that, once you get your Mercantile skill up to a
certain level, you actually don't need to worry about heavy-but-cheap
items like non-magical cuirasses. Leave the pants, shirts, shoes
(especially the shoes - 3 pounds of weight for 1 gold piece value) and
concentrate on carrying portable and expensive things. Work out which
things are best value for weight.

I like to drink a shot of sujamma or whatever it's called (the liquor giving
you 50 points to strength). The boost usually lasts enough for me to get
back home, via Recall and Almsivi intervention. First of all i carry all the
stuff i want to take with me to the entrance or other easily recognizable
place, and I drop everything on the floor. Repeat until got everything in
the same spot. Then I use one of two methods; if I can carry everything by
drinking sujamma, I just cast Recall (I usually Mark just in front of my
cave-home outside of Balmora), drink a shot, and hurry to city and sell
everything or drop everything I want to keep in my house. Or, if there's
just too much stuff, I cast Mark on the spot, drink sujamma, load myself to
the top, and cast Almsivi Intervention or Divine Intervention. The Almsivi
temple are usually located in big cities, so i'm almost assured I get a
merchant and/or a Mages Guild to travel fast and easily to Caldera and visit
Creeper. Then, Recall and repeat.

I just 'clean out' whatever area I'm working (outlaw cavern, ruins,
etc.), deposit everything in one easy to find spot until I have
everything I want...then simply pick everything up, use the Recall
amulet, then start offloading everything into sorted piles...weapons,
then books, then armor, then potions, then misc. Then I pick up the
weaps and repair, store or sell off. Then pick up and repair all armor
items...store or sell off. You can guess the rest. I make special
trips to Mudcrab, then just offload everything I'll want to sell to him.
Come back later when I have time to do this. Actually, I'm not so
worried about selling anything anymore. I have near 2 million gold now.
And enough glass, ebony and daedric items to take that up to like ten
million if I were of a mind to spend a few game months selling it all to
the mudcrab. And all the 'vendors' outside the shell in Ald
ruhn....I've made them very happy and wealthy.
The thing is, you don't need to use Sujamma to use Recall. You aren't
trying to walk anywhere. Though you may be carrying over a thousand
weight, it don't matter to the Recall spell :) I do carry a couple jugs
of it in case I get impatient inside a cavern/tomb/ruin etc. I'll
likely make a few trips to right outside the door and drop stuff off
until I'm finally done inside. Works for me :)

That's true, if you don't mind doing several trips just to sell the stuff ;)
A shot of Sujamma and you're able to carry everything at once for a very low
price ;)

In addition to the other comments here: Recall! It sounds like you've
cleaned out a cave and are trekking back and forth carrying the loot.
Instead of that, mark a spot where you like to dump/sell stuff before you go
to the cave. Then, at the cave, carry all the loot to a central location
(putting it in barrels or crates or something is good so you can "Take all"
instead of having to pick it all up individually again). When you've got
everything you want to take within arm's reach, pick it all up and recall.
You can be carrying 10, 20, 100 times your weight limit and still recall
just fine.

To carry more Items, use enthanet Items with "fortify Strength".
Every Point Strength give you five Points to Encumbrance.
Or download the Plugin "Collectors Belt", this Belt give you 99.999.999 Pts to
Feather on Self, so your char can carry a Weight of 100 Mio.
