Is there a console command that will remove the "fog of war" from the
map? Having to re-map everywhere in a new game once you've been there
in a previous game gets VERY wearing after a while...

Try typing TFOW in the console... should toggle the fog of war....

It'll also slow your machine to a crawl in a lot of areas. Try the FPS
Optimizer. Check in the games section of lowgenius.com if you don't know
where else to look for it.

I've used it and found it slowed my machine down to a crawl :-)

And I myself have never used TFOW... I like the fog of war. It helps me
know where I still have to go :-)

Agreed, and it helps with immersion since you never know what's out
there until you look. (Well, this was true the first time through the
game)

I've avoided looking at the paper map for Solstheim for much the same
reason, I just don't want to know what or where things are until I
stumble across them.

I recently found out that I live next to a guy that deals in stolen
goods. Its too bad too. I've always liked him and he hasn't ever
caused me any problems. I guess that old saying is true, good fences
do make good neighbors.

I wish I could stumble across some of them.

For instance the stones early on in the Bloodmoon quest, if
anybody has better directions to find them it'd be
appreciated. Trying to tie the in game hints to the paper map
isn't working very well.

Actually the quest stones are fairly well marked on the paper map.

Too bad I forgot that Solstheim HAD a paper map until I had finished
the game....a couple of those stones were VERY hard to find...
