Pilgrimage! Is there a purpose to doing this? I have visited all seven of
the shrines and donated the appropriate gifts but apart from my journal
being updated I haven't noticed anything different. Are they supposed to be
done in a certain order or at a particular point in the game?

With regards to the sanguine items what happens when I give all of them to
Eno Hlaalu and is it best to kill him or let him retire to become the
Grandmaster, if I kill him will it have any effect?

Many thanks

Of course! They are the first quest from the Tribunal Temple. You cannot get
any other quests until you completed the Pilgrimage.

No need for that.

Dunno about that... haven't played an evil character yet - no Morlag Tong
experience.

Tong experience.
Morag Tong qualifies as "Lawful Evil" at best, probably closer to "Lawful
Neutral". Camonna Tong and The Dark Brotherhood are evil, the Camonnas
strongly reminding me of Nazis.

Recovering all the Sanguine items causes the Grandmaster to give you a
unique and damned useful spell.

Killing him does nothing one way or the other. It's the only way you can
recover the items after you've handed them over, but they really aren't
that great anyway.

FYI: In one of the patch this reward is removed. Bethesda thinks it's too
unbalancing, probably. (Though with the removal of the spell, the game is
still very unbalanced)

You can always add it via the console though.

And then they put a vendor who sells various Fortify Skill spells in
Tribunal, but didn't restore Mephala's Skill to its original state. How
stupid is that? At least you have to do a fair bit of work to earn MS.
Now, it's the only place you can get Fortify Attack.

True. Mephala's Skill was about the *least* balance concern they could
have fixed.
When they fix balance, weird things happen. Just look at the patched
armors in Bloodmoon.

It's the basic quest for joining the temple.

I think you get a spell to fortify an attribute that isn't available
anywhere else (unless you have installed Tribunal).

Fortify Attack, which I can't find anywhere with both expansions
installed.

If you are a temple member you must complete all 7 before they will give you
any tasks. if not a member then it has no value.

Go see a temple questgiver and ask about the seven graces.

If you give him the Sanguine items, you get a new spell. After that,
it's up to you.

And even if it was just for role-playing purposes, it's a nice touch;
without pilgrimage temple types would not sound very
temple-going ;)

You can do them in any order but geographically this is a reasonable
order to do them in.
